The Artificial

In the final months of the Great War, some educated men saw what was about to be unleashed. Rather than recognising it for the disaster it was, they saw it as an opportunity to put their own plans into action and build their own empires on the ashes of the old. To do this, they realised, they would need servants of unquestionable loyalty and reliable competence, with no ties to the old world. Through a combination of science, sorcery and stolen arcane knowledge, they created those servants from whole cloth.

You were one of those servants. 

You were decanted from the great tank in which you were born and raised, and sent out into the wider world to fulfil a task on behalf of your Creator. Now, for the first time in your life, you are free - and the question becomes: what will you do?

The Artificial is a playbook for the Flying Circus RPG centered around themes of self-discovery, identity, and the unhealthiness of eternal self-sacrifice. How will you step out from the shadow of your Creator? How far are you willing to sacrifice your identity for others? Is this add-on just an anime reference?

Now expanded to include compatibility with the Chariots of Steel expansion, along with an alternate set of starter aircraft, three new ground vehicles, one new move, a new enemy faction and more besides.
